Our office at iConnect Family Chiropractic in Cresskill utilizes a wide range of proven chiropractic techniques for each individual case. It is no secret that each person has unique and specific patterns of subluxations (spinal misalignments) that require specific chiropractic care for them. Below, you’ll find a brief explanation of the popular chiropractic techniques we use at our Cresskill practice.
The Webster Technique
The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved. This is a common technique used in breeched pregnancies because it balances the pelvis allowing optimal room for the growing baby.
The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. It is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation, known as the high velocity low amplitude thrust. This is used in severe cases to provide relief when positioning is not tolerated.
